Weck Plastic Cap 40

Weck Plastic Cap 40 belongs to the Weck system — a glass-lid, rubber-gasket and metal-clip assembly that creates a hermetic seal without metal lids. This means zero metallic taste migration, total visibility of the seal condition, and lids that can be reused indefinitely with replacement gaskets.

The Weck Plastic Cap 40 excels in gourmet and HoReCa applications: jams, compotes, sauces, ferments (kimchi, sauerkraut, lacto-pickles), bone broth, soup portions, dessert pots, yoghurt, panna cotta and mise en place. Its distinctive tulip or mold shape elevates tableside presentation in restaurants.

Yes. The borosilicate-compatible glass body withstands autoclave sterilisation at 121 °C and sous-vide water-bath at 100 °C when fitted with a compatible rubber seal and clips. Remove metal clips before microwave reheating. The swing stopper alone is not a pressure-rated closure — add clips for sterilisation.

The swing stopper on Weck Plastic Cap 40 provides a convenient everyday closure. For hermetic sterilisation you additionally need the matching glass cap (sold separately), one rubber gasket per lid, and two metal clips. All accessories are available in the ThePackStock Weck accessories range.

Weck Plastic Cap 40 holds White ml and ships as nan. The Weck format is widely requested by caterers, deli producers and artisan food brands across the EU who need a premium, heritage-look jar that stands out from standard metal-lid packaging.
